KANSAS CITY MetroRegion WEATHER: "Moderate Risk" For "Excessive" Rainfalls

The NWS' Hydrometeorological Prediction Center (HPC) has the Kansas City Metro- and northern through western areas of the Kansas City MetroRegion under a slight to moderate risk of excessive- flooding rainfalls for the next 24 hours (see- click on image for more detail).
Rains of 2 to locally 5-inches over much of the area the past 24-48 hours have saturated soils. Much of the rainfall during heavy showers and thunderstorms will runoff- and create flash flooding conditions.

SLOW DOWN and LOOK when nearing low places- especially those areas prone to flooding- USE EXTREME CARE and ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION!
