KANSAS CITY MetroRegion WEATHER: Severe Thunderstorm Watch No. 703 In Effect

This watch will cover extreme western and northwestern parts of the K.C. MetroRegion (see image- click to enlarge) until 9pm this Sunday evening.This watch does NOT include Metro Kansas City.

Surface heating over the area has increased the severe storm threat, In addition- the Topeka NWS forecast office has also issued a flash flood watch for a few counties near the Nebraska border.

The flash flooding threat also remains high for the K.C. Metro for the next few days as well.
