Parkville Man Dies in Kansas City MO Motorcycle Crash

The call came in to the CSW news center at 11:38 p.m. late Saturday night as "a cardiac arrest" patient at "Missouri-152 highway and North Hampton" road- a few miles south of K.C.I. airport.

North Zone police responded to the incident a couple of minutes later on a reported "motorcycle" crash- and that was confirmed when the KC(MO)FD pumper arrived at 11:41 p.m..

The cyclist had crashed off to the side of the westbound M-152 exit ramp to North Hampton.

That cyclist was reported by police later Sunday as "a 51-year-old Parkville MO man" and Monday identified as "Stephen Corbin-" and died of his injuries on the scene.

For awhile it was thought another vehicle may have been involved in the crash- but police accident investigation convinced them Mr. Corbin had just lost control of his bike on the top of the Hampton exit ramp and ended up getting thrown with the cycle.

This is Kansas City's 15th traffic fatality of 2012- and CSW offers our condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
