Pilot in West Virginia Airshow Dies- Death Toll at Reno NV Airshow Crash Reaches 9

There was the crash of a World War-II-era aircraft at an airshow in Martinsburg WV earlier Saturday afternoon.

The ASSOCIATED PRESS reports the pilot died- but none of the airshow's spectators were hurt.

That was not the case late Friday in Reno Nevada- where another WW-II-era airplane- a P-51 fighter- crashed in front of a section of spectators- spraying the crowd with debris.

Officials there said Saturday that 9 people have died of injuries suffered from that crash- including the pilot.

There were nearly 70 injuries- with 8 of those still in critical condition.

Three days later- the death toll in the Reno crash had reached 11- inculding a Lenexa KS woman who was watching the race with her family- all of whom were also injured.
