At 6:11 a.m. Sunday morning- four companies of the Lawrence Fire department along with police and Lawrence-Douglas County EMS units- responded to a reported structure fire at 1325 Tennessee."
Police units arrived first- saw it was a working fire- and began blocking streets to fire-only access.
The first fire truck arriving at 6:13 a.m. reported the "front of a 2-story house fully-involved" in fire.
A 2nd-alarm was requested at 6:19 a.m..
Oddly- the fire spread to the "3-rd floor" of the 2-story structure- where the fire was fought until interior crews were ordered out at 6:32 a.m..
Searches of several floors of the structure were clear of any occupants to that time.
As of 7:05 a.m.- the fire has not yet been declared under control- but no injuries have been reported yet.
