The stabbing occurred around 4:45 a.m. in the 8700 block of Northwest 82nd Street and police said that the man's girlfriend was the suspect.
The victim walked a block or two from where the stabbing occurred to a fire truck waiting for police to arrive and secure the scene.
He was taken to a Northland hospital in critical condition.
The girlfriend also left on foot- and was possibly picked-up by police about 20 minutes after the stabbing- but that has not been confirmed.
