A theft of copper wiring at a radio tower site near Pittsburg Wednesday morning knocked two radio stations of the air.
The affected stations were KRPS and KKOW- according to the story from the PITTSBURG (KS) MORNING SUN.
The thief also tried stealing copper from a residence a few hours later- but the homeowner caught the thief and held the suspect- reported as 39-year-old Jeff Blake- until the sheriff arrived and arrested the perp.
At least one of the radio stations was back on the air late Wednesday.
