CSW WEATHER: Tornado Watch Includes Only Missouri Metro Kansas City Counties

Tornado Watch Number 475 is in effect until 11 p.m. this Tuesday night- and covers parts of central- west-central and southern Iowa- northern- west-central and central Missouri.

Oddly- ONLY those Metro Kansas City counties in Missouri are in the watch- as is St. Joseph.

NO Kansas counties are included- even though there are currently severe storms in west-central and southwestern Kansas.

Thus far- only radar-indicated precipitation is well off to the east of K.C.- in Chariton & Randolph counties MO..

Look for expected rapid development of thunderstorms in and close to this tornado watch over the next 2 hours or so....

It was actually north to east of us too SD.

The SPC called it right-on as far as leaving KS out of the watch.

Next chances late tomorrow (Thurs) night-early Frida- but just (needed) rain ... I hope.
