Metro Kansas City is included in a Storm Prediction Center's forecast of possible severe thunderstorms today- Friday and Saturday.
This forecast area for heavy weather also covers much of the central and northern Central States through Saturday.
Metro Kansas City's greatest severe threat is from possible large hail- damaging storm winds and of course lightning.
