CSW BREAKING: Vehicle Vs. Train in Miami County KS

The call was dispatched by Johnson County at 3:26 a.m. Sunday morning: a reported train hit a vehicle at the railroad crossing at 223rd Street and 4th Street in the small- unincorporated community of Bucyrus in northeastern Miami county KS..

A responding sheriff deputy found the "45-year-old male driver" of the vehicle "partially pinned" in the wreckage- but "conscious and alert."

After a relatively short extrication by South County firefighters- the man was taken to an Overland Park medical trauma center with a head laceration and "facial fractures."

His condition did not sound immediately life-threatening and the MiCo Sheriff's department was investigating.

This 'blower' didn't make it...

Looks like a well-marked/warned crossing too.

Maybe time for a little MiCo SO enforcement there.

Watch the WX for me SD while I sleep here at 7:05 ;)
