CSW Weather: Severe Storm Chance Sunday Over Kansas City Metro- MetroRegion

Again today we'll see a chance of severe thunderstorms over the northern and central portions of the Central States- including Metro K.C..

The storms are forecasted by the Storm Prediction Center to fire-up later today- with large hail- damaging winds and (of course) deadly cloud to ground lightning the primary severe threats.

Some showers and thunderstorms are  moving into the Kansas portions of the MetroRegion right now- and will move eastward into the Metro around dawn- but this activity shouldn't be severe.

The tornado chances with later today's activity are quite small- except over parts of western South Dakota.

For Monday- the severe storm chances shift east and northeast into Iowa and eastern Missouri.

CSW will post any severe weather watches valid for Metro and MetroRegion Kansas City as they are issued.
