Death and Destruction in Mississippi 'Long-Track' Tornado

evere storms are raging across the Deep South and lower Mississippi River Valley at this hour.



A long-track tornado that began in Louisiana struck western Mississippi before the noon hour.

At least 2 deaths are reported in and around Yazoo City MS with dozens of structures damaged or destroyed with people still trapped in the wreckage.

At least 20 injured have been transported from Yazoo City- according to the latest story from the JACKSON (MS) CLARION-LEDGER.



A large area of the Deep South remains under a "high risk" of more severe storms and tornadoes today.
