The tornadic storm that sliced across the middle of Mississippi on Saturday had the appearance of a massive- semi rain-wrapped wedge of counter-clockwise swirling winds.
The BING map shows the track of the tornado(es?)- from just west of the Mississippi River in Louisiana all the way across the state to near the Alabama border near Columbus MS..
This storm chaser caught the storm southwest of Yazoo City and followed the twister into YC before he stopped to assist local emergency workers in rescues.
Bear in mind that the forward speed of this storm was 50 to 60 mph!
At least 10 people were killed- most in west-central and central Mississippi.
