The tornado that swept from northeastern Louisiana across Mississippi almost to the Alabama border was large and partially hidden in clouds and rain at times- as you can see by the accompanying screen-capture images.
Yesterday's video showed a massive wedge-shaped funnel approaching Yazoo City- today's video from the Associated Press shows only a dark- swirling cloud mass that is- for the most part- unrecognizable as a tornado.
I've seen these types of tornadoes- the last being in Pleasant Hill in 1977- and they are deceptive and VERY dangerous since there's no discernable funnel.
More severe weather is forecast later this week- Thursday and/or Friday- across the Central States- including Metro Kansas City.
