CSW BREAKING NEWS: Serious Injury House Fire In South KC-MO

A
19-year-old female has suffered serious to critical burns in a duplex fire just before dawn Sunday morning.

The fire was dispatched at 6:31 am to the 2500 block of East 77th Street and when the first of 5 fire companies arrived 3 minutes later- heavy flames were seen pouring from the single-story structure.

The burn victim had made it outside- and suffered 2nd & 3rd-degree burns to her face- upper arms- hands and lower extremities. Her condition was serious to critical as MAST-EMS rushed her to a nearby hospital.

The fire itself was extinguished quickly- "under control" at 6:40 am.

A fire investigator is on the scene

NOTE: At 7:23 am and again "live on the scene" at 7:32 am during their newscast- KMBC-9 News reported "nobody injured" at this fire so I guess you should disregard (not) what I posted here FIRST IN KANSAS CITY.

I stand by the above post..
