At 1:05 pm- Bonner Springs police had asked for fire department assistance to rescue an injured deer stuck on or in the ice at Lake of The Woods which is north of K-32 in eastern Bonner Springs.
Officers reported the deer was "bleeding" and the rescue is underway as of this post.
