Hospitals constantly complain about all the uninsured patients coming into their emergency rooms- but have no apparent qualms spending money on advertising or- as reported by The Independence-Blue Springs-Grain Valley EXAMINER- sponsoring "ice."
Yes that's right.
The EXAMINER says that Centerpoint will spend "$12-million over the (next) ten years" to sponsor the ice at the new Independence Arena at I-70 & I-470.
Twelve-million dollars.
Wonder how many uninsured sick people that $12-mil would heal?

They're already getting raped by the uninsured. EMTALA screws everyone it touches from ambulances to ERs. So to ask about the money is irrelevant since they're obligated by LAW to pay for uninsured people, which number in the thousands per year, that come to their hospital instead of going to a family doctor.
This hospital is privately owned and it is a for profit organisation.
