KANSAS CITY MetroRegion WEATHER: Winter Storm Warning In Effect

The latest of a string of late-autumn/early-winter storms continues to affect the Kansas City MetroRegion this Saturday afternoon.

Areas west to north of Kansas City have gotten more snowfall so far- and the radar image (click to enlarge)continues to show activity rotating from south-southwest to north-northeast west of the Metro.

Parts of I-70 near Topeka-KS and I-29 in northwest Missouri have been or remain closed due to numerous accidents caused by icy roadways.(Photo courtesy of the City of Overland Park-KS)

Some Interstates in the Metro have also been closed at least briefly by accidents- I-435 near Blue Parkway being one example.
