FCC Doing Favors For Corporate News Media

The latest from the UCSA (United Corporate States of America) and our program "It's ALL About Money" is that the Federal Communications Commission is seriously considering relaxing the electronic news media/newspapaer rules for the "top 20 markets" in the country.

What this means is that not only can Corporate America buy up all the TV and radio stations it wants in those markets- but they can own the newspapers as well.

That existed here in the 1950's when The KANSAS CITY STAR owned WDAF Channel 4.

Then- the "government for the people and by the people" had decided there was not enough editorial diversity when a local paper owned a local TV station and made The STAR and other newspapers who also owned media properties divest of them.

This latest idiocy by the FCC is just the continued slide down the slippery slope ... soon truth will be outlawed in favor of spin.

Those so worried about SMOKERS should find a new gig to obsess upon.

Achtung! Schnell! Heil Herr Bush & Cheney and every Demoblican and Republicrat!
