As reported here at CSW first in Kansas City- flash flooding occurred in Belton- Raymore and Lee's Summit MO- but no injuries have been heard.
M-291 was closed at M-150 in southern Lee's Summit due to flooding.
The heaviest rains- according to the Overland Park STORMWATCH weather system rainfall reports shown here- were from south-central Overland Park eastward across southrn Jackson and northern Cass counties MO..
The heaviest rainfalls have moved into Johnson and Lafayette counties MO- with only scattered showers expected in the Metro through noon.
There's a chance thunderstorms could re-develop later this afternoon and evening in or near Metro Kansas City- so stay tuned!
