CSW BREAKING: Body Found in Burned-Out Car in South Kansas City MO


Firefighters that had responded to a car fire in south KC-MO early Sunday morning found a body in the burning car.


The incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on 101st Terrace several hundred feet east of Holmes in an office park area.


The crew of Pumper 36 responded initially around 1:51 a.m. to 103rd Street and I-435 and finally located the burning vehicle much further west near Holmes- discovering the body inside the car during the firefight.


Police were called- as well as the Jackson County medical examiner.


It was later determined that the body was a male who had crashed the vehicle and was trapped inside when it caught fire.
