Central States News: Worker Badly Burned at Fort Calhoun NE Nuclear Plant

A worker at the floodwater-surrounded Fort Calhoun nuclear power plant north of Omaha NE was burned Thursday.

The man was filling a gas tank for a portable pump when the pump caught fire and the worker was burned on the arms and face while trying to extinguish the fire- according to the LINCOLN (NE) JOURNAL STAR.

The worker was taken to a burn center in Lincoln by medical helicopter.

There was no damage reported at the nuclear plant itself.
