In today's Age of Terrorism- imagine being a guard at the entrance to the Lake City/U.S. Army ammunition plant at Missouri 7 and 78 highways around 6:10 am Sunday morning.
Here was a car- careening down the roadway toward the front gate of one of the US military's biggest munitions manufacturing plants and that car wasn't going to stop.
The car- containing 2 occupants- rolled-over and came to rest near the main gate of Lake City- it's 2 male occupants injured.
A medical helicopter was sent for one of the car's occupants: "a male in his 20's who (appeared) uninjured but highly" intoxicated.
The 2nd occupant- also a younger male- was transported by AMR-EMS to an eastern Metro medical trauma center.
You have to think the guards at Lake City's main gate were relieved it was JUST a crash by a possibly intoxicated driver and not a terrorist attempt.
