One- Possibly 2 Killed As Result Of Overnight KC-MO "Rolling Gunbattle"

T
here's apparently no shortage of ammunition in Murder City these days...

At 1:18 am Sunday morning- a KC-MO Center Patrol Zone officer reports hearing shots fired in the area of 31st Street and Gillham.

Within a minute- the officer spots 2 sports utility vehicles and a car on 31st Street approaching Troost- "people hanging out the windows firing at the other vehicles"- what one officer described as "a rolling gun battle."

The police chased the vehicles south on Troost- two split off east on Armour and one goes west. At 1:23am- officers have stopped one of the vehicles involved in the shooting and reports "4" suspects in custody.

Apparently as this rolling gun battle roared by 34th Street and Troost- shots struck a man and a woman sitting at the bus stop there.

The woman- who police said was "in her 50's" was killed instantly by a gunshot wound to the chest.

A 29-year-old male was shot at least twice- in the chest and back- he was taken by MAST-EMS in very critical to grave condition to a Metro medical trauma center.

Police are intently looking for the other 2 vehicles: "a dark-colored SUV and a white car" that were involved in Kansas City's latest homicides.
