White Christmas? Sort Of...

Snow has ended over most of Metro Kansas City- and will be ending from west to east over the Missouri MetroRegion during thr next several hours.

Snowfall totals ranged from around 1/2-inch in southern Overland Park and Olathe to nearly 3 inches in northern portions of the Metro- 2-1/2-inches reported at K.C.I. airport.

Conditions on area freeways and heavily-travelled roadways for the most part are patchy ice & snow spots. Side and lesser-travelled streets have snow and ice accumulations- but for the most part are passable.

A warm day Friday with temperatures in the 50's should melt most of this snow cover- in time for another snow system moving in here Saturday.

Travel safe and smart- and a heartfelt Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
