The Continental jet that crashed off a Denver International airport runway missed one of the 4 DIA fire stations by a mere 200 yards- according to Associated Press reports and the following AP images.
Yes- it's a miracle that no one died in this one and that the jet didn't go off the runway 200 yards (600 feet) sooner....
