The handful or so regular readers of this Internet vent-hole know I don't work for KMBC Channel 9.
However that won't stop me for giving them kudos here- for running the story of Colten Newman- that 3-year-old boy who was badly injured in a mowing accident in Polo-MO last week.
The Newman family didn't have health insurance as the father is- like yours truly- self-employed.
That little guy has an incredible will to live- which I found immediately evident listening to the medical helicopter's medical report to Children's Mercy as Colten was being flown there last week.
Colten's going to need A TON of medical help now and in the years to come due to the extent of his injuries (double amputation- etc.).
Ms. Rittenhouse and myself made a donation today to the Newman family- and I challenge ALL my fellow Kansas City area bloggers and news people to do the same.
THIS is a compassionate "economic bailout" that makes all the sense in the world- PLEASE HELP!
