K.C. MetroRegion Weather Update: Severe Storm Risk Continues But Is Low



About the southern half of the MetroRegion or those areas roughly along and south of I-70 remain under a "slight risk" forecast area for possible severe thunderstorms.

A quick three-tenths of an inch fell just before 8am here from a small- but intense thundercell.

You can also see by the NWS-TWX Doppler weather radar graphic that most of the present precipitation activity remains in southwest Kansas- moving southeast.

According to the visible satellite- nothing immediately upstream in Nebraska or Iowa yet....
