KANSAS CITY'S BREAKING NEWS-WEATHER: Turkey Creek Coming Out Of It's Banks In Merriam

Police have reported- at 1:25am- that "Turkey Creek is out of it's banks at 62nd Street & Mastin" and "into the parking lot at 61st Street & Merriam Drive.

There is no NWS flash flood warning in effect.

Rainfall totals since 10:30 pm in the Turkey Creek headwater has been 3 to 3.25 inches. Four inch and greater amounts are shown in the area of K-7 & Shawnee-Mission Parkway in Shawnee and to the De Soto area.

While the heaviest storms have moved south and east- there are still additional storms developing in Douglas County KS..
