KANSAS CITY MetroRegion WEATHER: Severe Storm Chance Moved Southward

According to the latest SPC severe thunderstorm outlook- the southern boundary of the "slight" risk area is now over the K.C. Metro- generally along the Kansas and Missouri Rivers and north.

This jibes with the outflow boundaries that moved through the city around dawn from storms up north.

Conditions look quite favorable for thunderstorm development locally in the next 3-4 hours- storm movements will generally be from southwest to northeast- and once again I think the most general severe threat will be torrential rains of 2 to 3 inches per hour with the stronger storms.
