CSW WEATHER: Severe Storm Watch Includes NW Through SW Kansas City MetroRegion

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch- No. 682- is valid until 1 a.m. for much of northern- northeastern and eastern Kansas.


Cities such as Topeka- Lawrence- Ottawa- Seneca and Emporia are included in this watch.


The Kansas City area is NOT included in Watch No. 682 as of 9:15 p.m..


The primary severe threat are possible damaging downburst winds and hail 1' or greater in diameter.


Thunderstorms currently exist from east-central Kansas into southeastern Nebraska- and are generally moving east to southeast.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected in Metro Kansas City later tonight and overnight into Monday morning.
