There were motorist reports of "a wrong-way driver going westbound in the eastbound lanes" of I-70 shortly before the crash was dispatched by the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District.
At 1 p.m.- Blue Springs police announced that eastbound I-70 traffic was being "routed off to Adams Dairy Parkway."
At 1:13 p.m.- CJC-EMS is transporting "a 36-year-old" patient emergency to Centerpoint Med Center in Independence.
It's not yet known if there any fatalities associated with this crash.
