Fools and Their Money: Kansas City-area Casinos Have Good March on the Backs of Fewer Patrons

According to the KANSAS CITY BUSINESS JOURNAL- Metro casinos continued raking in money even though fewer people bought into the false notion of quick (any) gambling riches.

Ameristar led the 4 area Missouri gambling joints- followed by Isle of Capri- Riverside's Argosy and North Kansas City's Harrah's.

Only the Isle of Capri saw an actual increase in gamblers.

Seven point five percent fewer people (869000) donated their monies to local casinos in March- but revenues were up 4% ($64.4-million) from March 2010.

The casinos are hoping for more patrons (suckers) with more disposable cash this month....

Well I am not a gambler to be honest I find it rather boring winning or not. But Americans are caught up in this blind faith belief that this time they go to the casinos will be their lucky trip. Sad to say for 99% who do make the trip they come home empty handed. And if they do win next time they go to the casino they will just spend even more due to believing they have it figured out.

I’d like to see a study that looks at all games of chance for money to see if during harder times do they suffer or do they profit from it over all?
