Fatality- Injuries in Southeast Oklahoma Tornadoes

An emergency services dispatcher in Atoka County has reported around 8:45 p.m. that "one person is dead- four others critically hurt and another is missing" after up to 4 tornadoes Thursday evening in that area of southeastern Oklahoma.


"People are trapped in homes- power lines are down and they are still assessing the damage" the dispatcher said.


The heaviest damage was reported south of Atoka- in Tushka.


Other tornadoes were reported earlier in the evening in the northeastern part of the state- in the Tulsa area.


Some damage was reported near Hominy and Madill- and other tornadoes were signed near Stroud- Burbank and Ramona.


No injuries reported with those touchdowns.
