CSW Weather: At Least It's Rain

At 5:57 a.m. it's 41 degrees here in South Kansas City MO with the latest late-winter storm Part 2 bearing down on us.

Rain will begin in southwest parts of the Metro by 6:30 a.m.- spreading over the entire area this Tuesday morning.

Here in Metro K.C. we won't have to worry about any frozen precipitation- but areas about 100-150 miles to our west and northwest will experience sleet and/or snow today.

The wetness will be out of here by early Wednesday morning- but we'll struggle to maintain average high temperatures of 50 degrees though the week's end.

Spring officially begins Sunday- March 20 and the Daylight Savings Hassle is next Sunday- March 13th at 2 a.m..
