Two persons have been injured with a "female" still trapped and presumed dead in a burning mobile home in western Miami County near Paola KS..
Paola and other fire departments were dispatched just before 10:15 pm Monday night to the fire in the 29200 block of Indianapolis Road.
A sheriff's deputy also responding on the alarm arrived less than 5 minutes later reporting "2 occupants outside" the burning trailer house with "a female still trapped inside."
The two occupants who escaped the fire suffered serious to critical injuries from smoke inhalation- one with "facial burns"- and were being transported to a Metro K.C. medical trauma center.
One of those patients is a female in her late 50's and the other patient is reported as a male in his middle 60's.
The trapped occupant had not been recovered as of this post as the flames rage on- reportedly fed by "oxygen tanks" in the residence.
