Six KC-MO Fire companies are putting out a fire in a house in the 100 block of East 72nd Street.The incident was reported to 9-1-1 at 3:32 pm and when Pumper 37 arrived at 3:34 pm- they reported "heavy smoke" pouring from "the attic area of a one and one-half story" house.
Fire crews found a "dead plug" or waterless hydrant initially but quickly found another source as they pull 2 hand lines to use on the fire.
At 3:45 pm- it's reported the occupant is "in the backyard" and uninjured and the fire battalion chief orders animal control for "a couple of dogs in the backyard.
At 3:48 pm- the chief reports the fire "knocked down" with no firefighter injuries as of this post.
