This watch does NOT include Metro Kansas City- but includes the Missouri counties of Cass- Johnson and Lafayette and the Kansas counties of Miami and Linn until 11 pm.
A severe thunderstorm is over southern Johnson county KS (not in the watch)- and has dropped an inch of rain already over that area.
Power is reported out in parts of Gardner-KS- as well as traffic lights in that area says Gardner police.
