Merriam-KS with assistance from Shawnee-KS police are investigating a fatality crash early Saturday morning.
The 2-vehicle wreck happened around 2:50am in the eastbound lanes of Shawnee-Mission Parkway on the bridge over I-35 ..

UPDATE - 1750 CST - Merriam-KS police have yet to provide the identity of the victim- but say a 23-year-old University of Kansas graduate student from France was the fatality.
The police statement on this incident says the victim was pushing his vehicle which had become disabled- when he was struck from behind and killed by another motorist.
Another person who was steering the victim's disabled car suffered minor injuries.
The cops say the striking motorist was intoxicated and was arrested.
The identity of the victim has been withheld until the next of kin in France could be notified.
