Incredibly- the U.S. Army reported 24 suicides in January- according to the Associated Press.
Seven of those suicides have been confirmed- 17 of the deaths are under investigation. There were 16 combat deaths in all military branches in January.
In addition- the Army is investigating 128 suicides in 2008 with an additional 15 deaths being investigated as such.
