AP Chief Says War Military Heads Threatened Press Organization

Imagine being a member of the "free" American Press in an American war zone these days and having your access to the war tightly controlled.

Imagine the military commanders telling you that if your news coverage is unfavorable- that you and your press organization would be "ruined."

This is NOT imagination- but very real- according to Associated Press's chief executive Tom Curley in a speech Friday to University of Kansas journalists- according to The KANSAS CITY STAR.

I guess our government learned ONE thing from Vietnam- you can't have American journalists reporting the TRUTH about Bush's Folly.
