According to the ASSOCIATED PRESS story and those articles from other news organizations like Reuters- the Komen foundation's decision to cut their funding to PP "stemmed from newly adopted criteria barring grants to organizations under investigation."
Not lost in all the reporting is of Komen executives ties to the Republicat Party and that by no coincidence- Republicrat politicians in "North Carolina, Indiana and KANSAS (my caps)" according to Reuters have instituted investigations into PP apparently based on PP's support of abortion..
As all of us know those freedom-loving Republicrats are as supportive of any organization that performs abortions as Arab terrorist groups support Coca Cola and American apple pie.
UPDATE: Later Friday moning- the ASSOCIATED PRESS reports that the Komen Foundation has recinded their (misguided) decision to de-fund Planned Parenthood.
