AP: "House Ready to Consider Insider Trading Ban"

In early 1973 just before his 'Watergate' scandal broke wide open- Richard Nixon denounced initial news media reports that he- The Almighty President- had any hand in wrong-doings.

We know how that turned out...

The Associated Press reports that Congress is "considering" a bill passed by the Senate that would ban illegal and unethical insider stock market trading by already-wealthy politicians and executive-branch government officials.

According to the linked AP story- the bill the House is "considering" is a reaction "to a segment on CBS'"60 Minutes" that raised questions about stock trades by House Speaker John Boehner, the husband of House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Spencer Bachus, R-Ala., chairman of the Financial Services Committee."

"All have denied wrongdoing and denounced the network's story-" states the AP story.

Shades of "Tricky Dick?"
