Breaking Monarch: An Un-Common Moth

Nature is resplendent here at CSW headquarters this warm- sunny October afternoon.

Caught live were a monarch butterfly who moved before I could get a better shot-

and a beautiful black & white hairy moth who smiled for the camera (you know WE love you better- Moth).

Groucho--

Nice shot! Never seen a "hairy moth" before. I think that thing would have scared me if I saw it without knowing what it was.

I've been trying to photograph the fat happy squirrels of South KC, but the buggers move too fast!

First time I had seen one of those types of moths too- or noticed them.

Only squirrels I've tried to photogrpah in the past 10 years was a white one I'd seen running around.

That one must have moved to Lee's Summit or something as I haven't seen it arround for a few years...

Peace!
