According to the story in The FORT SCOTT TRIBUNE- 10-year-old Iola resident Caleb Johnson has a petition drive going to help save a drive-in theater in nearby Gas-KS- only one of 8 left in the state.
B&B Theatres- owner of the 54 Drive-In- says the theater is too expensive to maintain- although in addition to the 1400 or so signatures Caleb has gotten on his petition- the youth also has pledges of materials and labor to spruce-up the landmark drive-in.
