Folks in southeastern Oklahoma through Mississippi have been getting lambasted (sorry Tom Skilling) with heavy rains over the past week to 10 days- and it looks like that situation will move northward.
An area of 3-inch rainfall totals over the next 5 days is shown just southeast of Metro Kansas City- centered about over Clinton-MO..
Edges of that 3-inch rainfall area nudge the southern and eastern parts of the Metro.
Showers and storms- some severe- are expected in our area late Tuesday into Wednesday- and again late Friday into Saturday.
Of course I'll keep you informed on this development....
