Love Overcomes Color In Virginia Marriage

In 1958- marriage in Virginia was restricted to people of the same race.

That didn't stop Mildred Jeter- who was black- from marrying Richard Loving- who was white.

Arrested and hounded for years- the Loving's were separated only by the death of Richard in the 1970's by a drunk driver.
