Three people are injured - 2 of them seriously - and there's possibly one dead at the scene of a crash reportedly result of a police pursuit at 12:05 am Monday morning.I didn't hear the chase itself- but it ends at South 24th Street and Shawnee Drive in southern Kansas City, KS.. Two different paramedics report "a pickup truck with 4 people going about 70 m.p.h.- overturned at least once" and caught fire.
Police officers managed to extinguish most of the fire before fire crews- and 3 EMS units- arrived. EMS transported 2 males and a female- all around 38-45-years-old- to two area trauma centers. The female had been ejected from the truck.
No 4th patient was transported- believed dead at the scene.
No word on what precipitated the pursuit and the area is closed off for investigation.
