Ed Muscare- Uncle Ed From KSHB-41 "All Night Live-" Dead at Age 79

Thousands of late night TV viewers might remember Ed Muscare or 'Uncle Ed' from his All Night Live program that originated from the studios of KSHB (KBMA) Channel 41 in Kansas City around 1980.

The station was received on many CCTV systems throughout the Central States then.

Muscare left Kansas City for Florida in the mid-80's- and Florida is where Muscare's legal issues began.

In 1986- Muscare was convicted of sexual charges involving a 14-year-old male.

Muscare moved to South Carolina- where he again faced jail for not registering as a sex offender- the he returned to Florida in 2010 and was again arrested for a probation violation.

It was in a Florida jail cell where Ed Muscare died last Sunday night at the age of 79.

Well Uncle Ed was a weird dude no less and I remember his shows on TV very well.

I use to be close to Max Floyd of KY fame back in the day and I happen to have been in Phoenix the day Uncle Ed was arrested for the charge he was later found guilty of in Florida. So guess who was tapped to give a report from Phoenix about Uncle Ed? Yup me.

Uncle Ed as we knew him was called Edmus Scarey and had a show called Friday Night at the Frights on KNXV a Fox station located in Phoenix. And yes I would watch it when I was in Phoenix sort of a touch of home kind of thing.

But anyway KNXV did a huge cover up on Ed's arrest and in fact whole town tried to more or less sweep it all under the rug. There was way more press coverage here about it than in Phoenix.

What Ed did was wrong and even he said so as well. He was a freak and he knew it. Did he have to die in jail, no he did not. Its funny how the courts react to the things they do and real offenders walk the streets. I was taught in school the justice was blind but I was taught wrong.

Good Bye Uncle Ed when you had it together people loved you but when the demons took over you fell from grace to never return.
