The latest homicide occurred about 10:15 p.m. on Prospect near 55th Street.
Two men were found shot in their wrecked vehicle by emergency services and one was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later identified the deceased person as 17-year-old Rickey King.
This is the 100th homicide in KC-MO so far for 2011....

So, the young man that was shot to death was a friend to my children and member of my church since his birth 17 yrs ago. Pleas pray for the family of Rickey King, he was a good bright young man with a lot going for him. Pray for the young and not so young that are also causing the silly acts of violence. It saddens me that people shoot guns and kill others like they would wash their hands.
